The American Technical Publishers (ATP) building has 45,000 sq ft of total usable space on three floors. It has a structural steel core and glass curtain walls with brick facades. Low-emissivity glass is used throughout the exterior walls.
Building orientation and architectural features provide controlled exposure to sunlight for maximum lighting and heating benefits. Exterior sunshades on the south and east elevations shield the building from direct sunlight. A patio is located off the west wall of the first floor, and balconies above the patio on the second and third floors serve as sun shields. The main entrance has an integral canopy. The white roof face is designed to provide maximum reflection of light and heat.
